It’s been a while since I did a manual post on here. My last post was about how I was prepping for archery.
Well, now I’ve been! I’ve completed the training course and I now have my own full kit. I booked an appointment with Merlin Archery (Of course!) and they went through everything. Got everything setup perfectly for me. Only the mini tweaks remain. I won’t have to change them again unless I want to change any parts or move up in Pounds.
The whole appointment took 2.5 hours, but damn it was worth it to get everything done correctly. I do understand now why they say not to order online. I can’t imagine ordering any of this online without knowing your sizes etc. Every little thing matters.
Went to my first Archery session with the club I’ve joined last night. Had a really good time! It was my first time shooting with my own bow and my first time shooting outside. The fact it was stupidly windy didn’t help either. But I did manage to hit the spider on one of my rounds!!

I have got an app that helps me keep track of my scores. So I’m hoping to see some improvement as time goes on. Next session is Monday night, so will need to make sure that I’m ready for that. I should hopefully see some improvement as the sight is not 95% setup to how it should be.
So in short, I’m now archery obsessed. I want to arrange some archery days with my friends as well. Get everyone into it!
Have you tried archery? Would you want to get into it? Let me know in the comments!
